According to Sgt. Cam Roden with the Utah Highway Patrol, the driver, who was the only person in the vehicle, managed to escape the car without injury. The driver said the accident was due to a sudden coughing fit. Paired with the slippery road conditions, presumably caused him to lose control and ended up in the retention pond.
