One person killed, others injured, after crash on US 6 near Diamond Fork

SPANISH FORK — One person was killed in an accident on US 6 Saturday afternoon, one of two serious crashes on Saturday according to Utah Highway Patrol.
UHP Cpl. Eddie Wright told KSL that the crash happened near Diamond Fork and closed both directions of travel.
Wright said two people were in “delta” condition and two others were in “alpha to bravo.” A medical helicopter was called in, but it was unable to land due to the high winds.
Wright did not say how many vehicles were involved in this accident or the cause.
Meanwhile, in Wasatch County, Utah Department of Transportation reported that a crash closed US 40 about seven miles south of Heber, Utah. Portions of the road were reopened by about 4:30 p.m., and officials were using alternating lanes to get vehicles moving again.
Traffic is now moving utilizing alternating lanes.

The Utah Highway Patrol reports that a semi-truck was involved in this crash, and that the driver’s gas tank was ruptured.
