Man struck by SUV in West Valley City dies from injuries

WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah — A 53-year-old man died after being hit by an SUV on Friday night.
The West Valley City Police Department said in a post on X that the man was pushing a shopping cart across the street at 8 p.m. when he was struck.
Police also said the man was outside of a crosswalk at “4100 S at about 4730 W.” Police also said the man was wearing “dark clothing” when he was hit.
“The driver of an SUV that was traveling east on 4100 S hit the man,” the X post said. “The man was transported to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.”
