WEST VALLEY CITY — A motorcyclist was badly injured Thursday night after police say they hit a vehicle making a U-turn on a West Valley City road.
Lt. Longman with the West Valley City Police Department said the accident happened on 5600 West at approximately 3200 South near Walmart.
Police said a motorcyclist was riding southbound when a driver made a U-turn in front of them, and the two collided.
Longman said the motorcycle rider was taken to the hospital in “extremely critical condition.”
Police do not suspect impairment to be a factor in the crash, and Longman said the other driver was cooperating with the investigation.
