MOAB, Utah — One person is dead after a semi truck and RV crash on Interstate 70 in Grand County, the Utah Highway Patrol confirmed Sunday afternoon.
UHP Cpl. Michael Gordon says right before 5 a.m. Sunday morning, a semi truck was traveling eastbound on I-70 near mile marker 200. For an “unknown reason,” the driver of the semi truck left the roadway to the right.
The driver of the semi truck overcorrected to the left and overturned, causing the crash.
An RV struck the overturned semi, Gordon says, and the crash fatally injured the RV passenger.
