1 person dead, another injured after 3-car crash in Roy Thursday evening

SALT LAKE CITY — One person died and another was injured after a three-car crash in Roy Thursday evening.

Sgt. Josh Taylor with the Roy Police Department said the accident occurred near 4750 South 1900 West at around 5:35 p.m.

At this time, police are not releasing the name, age or gender of the person who died in the crash.

One other person was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The road will be closed for “the next few hours” between 4800 South and 4400 South.

Officers have yet to determine the cause of the crash, and the investigation remains ongoing.
