Riverdale City officials announce 4400 South closure, recommend alternate routes

RIVERDALE – Riverdale City officials issued a reminder Sunday about a major upcoming road closure.
On Monday, Aug. 11, 4400 South will be closed for an estimated three months while construction crews work to demolish and rebuild the bridge over Interstate 15, according to a Facebook post by Riverdale City.
The road will be closed between 1600 West and Cozy Dale Drive.
Extended closures
Riverdale City officials said that beginning Aug. 22, the road closure will extend to 1250 West for “approximately six weeks,” according to the Facebook post.
“Drivers should use 1900 West, Riverdale Road, and Cozy Dale Drive as a detour route and plan a few extra minutes for their commute through the area,” Riverdale City said on Facebook.

For those traveling to the Ogden Airport, officials recommended traveling on 31st Street “to access the airport in the timeliest manner.”
