SALT LAKE CITY — There were multiple serious weekend crashes on Utah’s roads, three of which were fatal.
Saturday saw two fatal weekend crashes. In Eagle Mountain, a driver died after they rolled their vehicle. In Spanish Fork Canyon a car lost control, crashing head-on into another.
Additionally, bad weather caused a fatal crash on US-91 near Logan. Utah Highway Patrol Cpl. Eddie Wright warns that weather changes very quickly.
“People just got to remember those important things; to slow down [and] give themselves a little bit more time to get to and from places,” said Wright.
Wright said in that accident, a car hydroplaned into another car, killing the person inside.
Furthermore, a car rolled on I-15 near Layton sending three to the hospital. According to UHP, no one in the car wore seatbelts.
In downtown Salt Lake City, a man driving a Jeep was hospitalized in serious condition after a crash involving a TRAX train.
Wright gave a few tips to stay safe.
“Wear your seatbelt, always. Slow down and keep a better eye on your tires.”
