Traction Law in effect through both Cottonwood Canyons

SALT LAKE CITY — According to the Utah Department of Transportation, Traction Laws are in effect Saturday morning through both Big and Little Cottonwood Canyon as snow continues to fall in the valley.

In an X post from UDOT, the Traction Law is in effect through State Route 190 and State Route 210

 

UDOT advised drivers to check their vehicles are properly equipped when traveling up the canyons, by checking the tread on their tires or using tire chains.

This Traction Law applies to both entering and exiting the canyon, according to the post.
