MORGAN COUNTY, Utah — Five people were injured, one of them in critical condition, on Friday after a crash on Trappers Loop around 9 a.m.
According to Utah Highway Patrol Lt. Cameron Roden, the crash required the use of four ambulances to assist the victims. He said the crash was caused by a driver losing control while traveling northbound in the left lane. After losing control, the car “sideswiped” another car in the right lane.
Roden said the vehicle that was struck went into oncoming traffic, striking a third vehicle near mile marker four on Trappers Loop.
In a Facebook post, the Mountain Green Fire Protection District said the accident required the use of extrication tools to free two people who were trapped in a vehicle.
According to the Facebook post, all five people involved in the accident were transported to the hospital, with one person in critical condition.
The UHP said the scene was cleared hours later, after 10 a.m.
