1 injured in Orem house fire

SALT LAKE CITY – Firefighters said one person was injured after an Orem home caught fire Friday morning.
At approximately 10:29 a.m., Battalion Assistant Chief Shaun Hirst with the Orem Fire Department said firefighters arrived at a house fire located at 1925 S. Terrace Dr.
When crews arrived, Hirst said two people had exited the home, but one person was still inside.
Fire crews, with the help of police, reportedly rescued the person through an exterior window.
The person, described by Hirst as a “male victim,” was taken to a local hospital to treat his injuries, including inhalation of smoke. His condition was not immediately known.
Nobody else was inside the home at the time of the fire, according to Hirst.
Hirst said the Provo Fire Department and the Pleasant Grove Fire Department responded to the scene to assist.
