18-year-old shot in the shoulder in West Valley early Sunday

WEST VALLEY, Utah — An 18-year-old woman was shot in West Valley early Sunday morning.
Lt. Steve Burke with the West Valley Police Department says 18-year-old Andashell Orozco was shot in the shoulder at around 1:30 a.m.
Orozco was in a car on 3200 W heading to 2700 S, when nine people opened fire on the car. Burke says the nine individuals were standing on the side of the roadway.
According to Burke, the shooting was unprovoked. WVPD has no information on the suspects at this time.
Orozco’s injuries are non-life-threatening, according to Burke.
