4.7 magnitude earthquake reported near Utah-Wyoming border

SALT LAKE CITY — A 4.7 magnitude earthquake was reported Thursday morning near the Utah-Wyoming border, according to the United States Geological Survey.
In the first reported models, the epicenter of the earthquake was shown in the Wasatch National Forest.
The quake was recorded at 7:49 a.m. KSL viewers across northern Utah reported feeling the earthquake.
By mid-morning on Thursday, Uinta County Emergency Management reported they’d been in contact with multiple agencies, including Summit County, the Bureau of Reclamation, cities and towns in Uinta County, and the Wyoming Office of Homeland Security. None reported damage from Thursday’s earthquake.
The U.S. Geological Survey forecasts that there’s a 57% chance of a magnitude 3.0+ aftershock to hit in the next seven days. There’s a 19% chance of an aftershock of magnitude 4.0+, and a 3% chance of magnitude 5.0, the forecast says.
