SALT LAKE CITY – A five-year-old fell out of a second-story window in Eagle Mountain Sunday, and sustained serious injuries.
At approximately 6 p.m., the child was “playing with friends and did fall out of a window onto some gravel below,” Sgt. Ray Ormond, with the Utah County Sheriff’s Office, said.
The five-year-old reportedly sustained serious injuries to their head, hip and leg, and was flown to a hospital by a medical helicopter. Ormond said the child’s injuries were non-life-threatening.
“With pediatric patients and a substantial head injury, they’re typically flown due to the time it takes to transport them,” Ormond said.
