WASHINGTON, Washington County — A car crash on Rio Virgin Drive and Washington Dam Rd. in the city of Washington has lead to the death of one man on Wednesday.
On Thursday afternoon at approximately 12:46 p.m. officers responded to a crash involving two vehicles.
When arriving on scene, officers found a man unresponsive in the road. The man was pronounced dead on scene after life-saving measures were attempted, according to the Washington City Police Department in a press release.
According to the press release, witnesses said a Ford Model T was pulling off into Rio Virgin Drive onto Washington Dam Rd. The driver appeared to be attempting a U-turn entering the eastbound lane. That’s when a second vehicle entered the intersection according to witnesses, a Ford F450 pick up truck towing an approximate 15-foot flatbed trailer.
When the two vehicles collided, the impact caused the driver of the Ford Model T to be ejected from the vehicle.
Police are investigating the exact cause of the crash but for now don’t suspect impairment of ether driver.
