Crash in West Valley City sends two to hospital with injuries

WEST VALLEY CITY, UTAH — A crash in West Valley City involving a driver traveling WB on 4100 S who appeared to have ran a red light and was hit by a truck.
The driver, a 71 year old woman and the passenger, a 10 year old girl were both injured and have been taken to the hospital.
Lt Steve Beardshall with WVCPD told KSL NewsRadio that the 71 year old received non-serious injuries. Whereas the 10 year old was transported with critical injuries.
The drivers of the third vehicle and the truck were not injured.
The crash in West Valley City involved three vehicles when the impact from the truck pushed the car into another vehicle.
Traffic is impacted near SB Mountain View corridor which is closed from 3500 S. to 5400 S. And East and westbound traffic on 4100 S. is also closed at Mt. View Corridor.
Expect closures to last a few hours. West Valley crash reconstruction team is working on figuring out what exactly happened.
