SALT LAKE CITY – Some federal employees will be making their commute into work for the first time in years Thursday.

President Trump’s executive order that all employees stop remote work goes into effect. And that includes employees at Hill Air Force Base.

Hill said leaders are working to find space for all the extra personnel at the base.

UDOT said to expect more traffic in Roy, Clearfield and Layton tomorrow as well.

With in-person work resuming for thousands of employees tomorrow at Hill AFB, we expect some congestion near main entry gates in Roy (5600 S), Clearfield (650 N) and Layton (SR-193). Allow for extra travel time during peak traffic (5-8AM & 3-5PM) if traveling in these areas.
