Fire crews extinguish I-15 flames in time to save nearby building in Salt Lake County

SALT LAKE CITY — A crash on northbound Interstate 15 in Salt Lake County caused a fire to start off the side of the roadway early Wednesday morning.
The Salt Lake County Fire Department said the fire at 2300 North was stopped before making contact with a building nearby, and was cleaned up shortly after.

Two right lanes were blocked as fire crews arrived on scene, leading to one right lane being closed as fire crews worked on the fire.
