Human remains found, Lone Peak Police Department confirm

ALPINE — “Skeletal human remains” were found Friday afternoon, according to the Lone Peak Police Department.
In a press release from the Lone Peak PD, a report came in of suspected remains in Lambert Park.
Officers said they confirmed the presence of what looked like “skeletal human remains” upon arrival.
The Lone Peak PD said the area was cordoned off as officers began an investigation.
Detective M. Fahrni with the Lone Peak PD said the remains were transported to the Medical Examiners for further examination.
“At this time, the identity of the deceased and the circumstances surrounding their death remain under investigation,” the press release stated.
