Crash leaves teen girl dead, another injured on I-80 near Utah-Wyoming border

SALT LAKE CITY — A single vehicle crash on eastbound Interstate 80 near the Utah-Wyoming border Thursday left a 15-year-old girl dead and an 18-year-old girl with moderate injuries.
The 18-year-old driver was transported from the scene via ambulance, according to Utah Highway Patrol Lt. Mike Alexander. The 15-year-old passenger died from her injuries at the scene.
Traffic was backed up from the crash site.
