Juab School District confirms student measles case

SALT LAKE CITY — Juab School District announced on Saturday that a student had a confirmed case of measles.
According to a statement, the Juab School District is “working closely” with the Central Utah Health Department to follow its recommended guidance for measles.
The school district said individuals that may have had “significant exposure or risk” have already been contacted. The Juab School District said it will reopen as planned on Monday.
Any students who develop high fever, a cough, runny nose, red and watery eyes or a rash are encouraged to stay home. Should these symptoms appear, parents are counseled to contact their health provider and inform their local school office.
