SPANISH FORK — More than three decades have passed since 15-year-old Kiplyn Davis walked into Spanish Fork High School — and never came home.
On the painful anniversary of her disappearance, her family is still waiting. Still hoping. Still holding on.
Karissa Davis Lords was just 9 years old when her older sister vanished without a trace on May 2, 1995.
Now an adult, Lords continues to honor Kiplyn’s memory, and fight for answers.
Keeping Kiplyn Davis in the public eye
“She was outgoing, very social — just a bright, bubbly personality,” Lords said. “I still have memories of us going on family trips. Even now, I look up to her.”
Lords manages the Facebook page Find Kiplyn Davis, where she shares updates and memories and hopes to keep the case in the public eye.
“All I want is to find my sister and bring her home. It’s all I’ve wanted since day one,” she said. “Somebody knows something. If you have any information, even anonymously, please contact Spanish Fork police.”
There haven’t been new leads in years, but social media has breathed new life into Kiplyn’s story. Lords said TikTok creators and YouTubers across the country have taken an interest in the case and are spreading awareness to new audiences.
She’s also grateful for the unwavering support from the Spanish Fork community.
“Our community is the best,” Lords said. “They’ve supported our family all these years. They want Kiplyn to come home, too.”
In the mid-1990s, raising awareness relied on flyers, news broadcasts, and word of mouth. Today, the family hopes someone scrolling through their phone might hold the missing piece — and finally bring Kiplyn home.
