‘Do not call dispatch’: Blown fuse causes nearly city-wide power outage in Price

SALT LAKE CITY — Nearly the entire city of Price, Utah, was without power Thursday afternoon.
Cpt. Brandon Ratcliffe with the Price City Police Department said there is an issue with a blown fuse at a substation in the city.
Ratcliffe said the “majority of the city” is without power including the police department.
Police said “do not call dispatch,” to report report the power outage. It only has one working phone and needs to reserve it for other emergencies.
There is no estimate of when power will be restored at this time.
