LOGAN, Utah — Logan City Public Works announced that Utahns could submit names for their snowplows this season. Their “Name a Snowplow” contest wrapped up with some fan-favorite entries.
Charon Sprague with Logan City Public Works said the competition saw an overwhelming response.
“That ran for about a week or so, and we had over 600 submissions. And then we put out 30 names for voting for about a week or so.”
After the final week of voting, the top five narrowed down to Scoop Dogg, Clearopathra, Plowie McPlowface, The Big Leplowski and Betty Whiteout.
Logan residents can now track the location of their snowplows in real time using the city’s new snowplow tracker. The city hopes the tracker will alleviate the rush of phone calls they get from residents wondering where their plow is.
You can find the tracker and the newly named snowplows on Logan City’s website under Snow Removal.
