OGDEN — A man passed out and nearly drowned at Pineview Reservoir on Saturday, according to the Weber County Sheriff’s Office.
Sgt. Paul Babinsky from the sheriff’s office said a 62-year-old man was found face down in the water near Cemetery Point Beach.
David Reed with Weber County Fire Department said the man was pulled out of the water, and an employee from Club Rec, a private boat rental company, conducted CPR.
The sheriff’s office said the man was breathing when he was being transported to a nearby hospital.
Reed said the man was trying to get his boat launched from the ramp when it’s believed he passed out from the exhaust from the boat, causing him to go facedown in the water.
