Motorcyclist critically injured after being hit in South Salt Lake

SALT LAKE CITY — A motorcyclist was critically injured Friday night after being hit by a car in South Salt Lake.

Shaun Ward with the South Salt Lake Police Department said the crash happened in front of Chinatown at 3380 S. State St., when a Chevy Tahoe pulled out of the Chinatown parking lot and struck the motorcycle.

Ward said the motorcyclist, a woman in her 30s, was ejected off of the bike and was in critical but stable condition.

Southbound traffic at 3335 S. State St. was closed to drivers as the crash was investigated.
