Motorcyclist in critical condition after crashing into Ogden Canyon wall

SALT LAKE CITY — A motorcyclist was critically injured after crashing in Ogden Canyon on Friday night.

Sgt. Luis Silva with the Utah Highway Patrol said the motorcyclist was injured after hitting into a wall around 8:38 p.m. at mile marker nine.

“The driver was wearing a helmet and speed is believed to be a contributing factor in the crash,” Silva said.

The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital in critical condition, according to Silva. Ogden Canyon was closed to drivers while the crash was being investigated.
