SALT LAKE CITY — A 14-year-old girl died after being in critical condition on Friday after an off-road vehicle crashed in Utah County, injuring five others.
The Utah Department of Natural Resources said the girl was in critical condition and airlifted after the rollover happened near West Mountain at 7 p.m. She was taken to a hospital in Salt Lake County.
According to the UDNR, the driver, a 14-year-old boy, was also taken to a Utah County Hospital and then to a Salt Lake County hospital with possible significant injuries.
“Two female passengers were also self-transported to Utah County hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries,” the UDNR said. “The other two passengers, one male and one female, remained on scene and sustained minor injuries.”
The incident is still under investigation.
