OGDEN – Some streets in Ogden are without water Friday morning due to emergency repairs being done to a pipeline.
Ogden City said in a news release that streets at 1200 N. between Liberty Ave. and Orchard Ave. will be affected by the pipeline repair. The city said water is expected to be restored at noon on Friday.
“As a result of this shutdown this area could experience discolored water,” the news release said. “When this occurs, we recommend that you run the cold water faucet in your bathtub until the water clears. This will help flush your home’s water lines.”
Ogden City advised the public not to use hot water until it runs clear after water is restored.
“We recommend that you do not wash light colored laundry until the water runs clear,” Ogden City said.
According to Ogden City, water hydrants will be affected by the water shutdown.
“Water crews will also be flushing lines in the area once the emergency repairs are complete. Please notify us if the discolored water continues,” Ogden City said. “We apologize for any inconvenience and are working to get service restored as quickly as possible.”
Residents can call 801-629-8321 with any questions regarding the pipeline repairs and water restoration.
