Police officer injured after being involved in Salt Lake City crash

SALT LAKE CITY — A police officer is recovering after being involved in a crash in Salt Lake City on Saturday.
Brent Weisberg with the Salt Lake City Police Department said the officer had non-life threatening injuries after the crash took place at 700 N Redwood Road.
“While responding to a call for service, an officer was involved in a traffic crash,” Weisberg said. “The officer is being evaluated for non-life-threatening injuries.”
According to Weisberg, the driver who was in the other vehicle involved in the crash had minor injuries, and the Utah Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
