Fire crews respond to small structure blaze at apartments set to be demolished

SALT LAKE CITY — The Salt Lake City Fire Department responded to a small structure blaze Wednesday afternoon that was extinguished quickly with no injuries, fire officials say.
Dan Walker, of the Salt Lake City Fire Department, says the department received a call of a fire in the area of 250 West 300 South at about 3:30 p.m.
Walker says some old apartments were being demolished when construction crews noticed smoke coming from one of the buildings.
Walker says the fire was not that big. Despite the fire, the apartments that are scheduled to be torn down are still standing.
No injuries were reported form the incident.
