SALT LAKE CITY – A semitruck caught fire on Interstate 80 Monday, closing portions of the highway.
The semitruck was hauling wheat and traveling westbound on I-80 near 5600 West in Salt Lake City when the trailer caught fire, according to Lt. Cameron Roden with the Utah Highway Patrol.
Roden said the semitruck’s trailer was successfully separated from the cab. Nobody was injured during the fire, Roden reported.
