Shelter-in-place issued and lifted in South Jordan

SOUTH JORDAN — On Friday evening, a shelter-in-place was issued and lifted for South Jordan near 114th S. and 3600 W.
According to Deputy Arland Bennett with the Salt Lake County Sheriff’s Office, officers made a traffic stop at approximately 5:32 p.m. The suspect stopped at first, but then took off and fled to his house.
Once at home, the suspect barricaded himself inside, refusing to come out.
At approximately 7:15 p.m., officers were able to call the suspect on the phone. He came out of the house shortly after.
Bennett said no injuries were reported, and no force was used. The suspect has been taken into custody.
