UDOT wants to know what you think about its finished projects in Salt Lake

SALT LAKE CITY — A new survey from the Utah Department of Transportation asks anyone who travels around Salt Lake City what they think about completed projects.
The survey only deals with finished projects and looks at the areas of Salt Lake east of Interstate 15 and north of Interstate 80.
“We are asking about how these projects change people’s quality of life,” said Lisa Zundel, UDOT Region Two deputy director. “Did it reduce your commute? Does it increase your commute? Did it make it so a roadway was more walkable? If you live in the city so that you can go from your house to a restaurant or something, did it change the way you go into the city?”
Zundel says they also want to know if you make decisions to attend sporting events or go to an entertainment venue based on the traffic, parking situation or public transit around the area.
“We want to hear from everybody that uses the streets in Salt Lake City,” Zundel said.
The survey is the result of SB195, passed this year, requiring UDOT to study its projects and provide the city with reports.
Travelers have until August 6 to take the survey.
