SALT LAKE CITY — A water main break near 300 West and West Temple caused TRAX service delays in Salt Lake on the evening of June 23.
According to Chloe Moroni, the communications and public engagement manager for Salt Lake City’s Public Utilities division, 1300 South is shut down in the area.
TRAX service was delayed because the water main break happened under the train tracks. In a video shared with KSL, water could be seen covering the railway.
According to Utah Transit Authority, system-wide TRAX delays up to 25 minutes were expected. Bus service was instated to help bridge the gap between Central Pointe and 900 South.
