SALT LAKE CITY — One woman was killed Friday morning after troopers said she had stopped to help crash victims on Interstate 84 in Weber Canyon.
Lt. Cameron Roden with the Utah Highway Patrol said a multi-vehicle crash happened early Friday morning where a woman and a man stopped to help those involved with the crash.
“During the time that they were there to help, the female passenger ended up going over the side of the barrier on the side of the roadway,” Roden said. “They happened to be on a bridge and she fell.”
Roden said the woman died of injuries sustained after the fall. Investigators were still trying to find out why the woman crossed the barrier.
Eastbound lanes were open to drivers in Weber Canyon, while only one westbound lane was open as the investigation continued.
