SALT LAKE CITY — A home builders association is trying to help teens and kids in Weber County by donating to resource centers in the area.
The Northern Wasatch Home Builders Association (NWHBA) donated $1,000 worth of food and supplies to the Bonneville High School Teen Center and to the South Ogden Junior High food pantry.

Executive Officer Lelana Wilson with the NWHBA said the teen center wasn’t getting many donations.
“They are only receiving donations right now from Catholic Community Services,” Wilson explained, “Any additional support would be helpful in keeping that pantry stocked. Hunger is not necessarily something that is experienced in second and third world countries. It’s here in our front yard.”
Wilson said the NWHBA were glad to help provide necessities like food, deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste and feminine hygiene products.
“Several dedicated committee members went out and did an incredible job gathering supplies,” Wilson said. “They filled their vehicles to the brim–mastering the art of packing efficiently–and we were able to provide essential items to support the schools.”
Wilson said the NWHBA are always looking to help the communities they work in.
