Student killed in rollover crash near Cyprus High School

WEST VALLEY CITY — A girl was killed in a rollover crash near Cyprus High School on Tuesday, police said. Officials on scene confirmed the victim was a 15-year-old Cyprus High School student.
The West Valley City Police Department said an SUV rolled on a dirt road section of 4100 South just west of 8400 West.
The girl was ejected from the car, police said. She was pronounced dead.
Police on scene said there were nine kids under the age of 18 in the car that rolled, all Cyprus High students.
West Valley PD said four students were taken to the hospital and four were uninjured. Their conditions were not immediately known.
Granite School District posted on their Facebook about the rollover crash.
“We are still collaborating with emergency responders to confirm details, and we will share more information with you as appropriate. Although we cannot yet confirm the names of any of the victims of the accident, information and questions about this incident understandably circulated around our student body and staff.”
