SALT LAKE CITY — A woman fell 100 feet while rappelling Zion National Park on Thursday, according to Hurricane Valley Fire and Rescue.
In a Facebook post, crews with the Hurricane Valley Fire and Rescue responded to the Watchaman Helispot to support a patient with serious injuries.
Public Affairs Specialist of Zion National Park, Matthew Fink said a 26-year-old female fell approximately 100 feet on a rope while rappelling Spry Canyon.
“The patient was hoisted via a Utah Department of Public Safety helicopter to Zion’s Watchman helispot and transferred to an ambulance,” Fink said.
The woman was transferred to St. George Regional Hospital for treatment, according to the post.
