SALT LAKE CITY — First responders in Park City pulled an unresponsive woman out of a sinking car on Friday. They performed CPR on her, and police said she was in stable condition.
The Park City Police Department said emergency crews were called out to the Deer Valley Pond at 7:40 p.m. after reports that a car had gone into the water and was sinking.
“Park City Police Department arrived, along with Park City Fire Department who pulled an unresponsive female out of the vehicle. CPR was immediately performed until the female began breathing on her own,” the department said.
Police said she was then flown to a Salt Lake area hospital by helicopter in stable condition.
It was not immediately known what caused the vehicle to go into the water.
The Wasatch County Search and Rescue Diver Team also responded to help get the vehicle out of the pond.
