As artificial intelligence grows and expands, the threat it has on our elections grows with it. Whether it’s fake advertising, misleading information, or downright lies, AI could have a profound effect on upcoming elections.
State leaders took action in 2024, requiring things like disclosures on political ads using AI. But did that go far enough? We’ve seen issues in other states in this very midterm election cycle, so does the state need to do more?
Utah State Senator Heidi Balderree joined Inside Sources to explain her proposal that would take things a step further.
