SALT LAKE CITY — The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for areas including the San Rafael Swell, western Uinta Basin, and Wasatch mountains that will stay in effect until 9 p.m. Monday.

The Warning was issued due to wind and low relative humidity.

One hot spot for fires this past week has been Ashley National Forest which is under the red flag warning as well.

The national weather service says conditions this weekend will be favorable for fire spreads and fires could start quickly.

winds in some of these areas could be up to 35 miles an hour.
