A full list of Utah schools moving to online or hybrid instruction due to COVID-19

The COVID-19 pandemic has left Utah schools juggling in-person classes versus remote learning in order to slow the spread of the virus. Within recent weeks, the list of schools transitioning to online instruction has grown rapidly. 

Here is a full list of all Utah schools canceling in-person classes for two weeks or more due to meeting the threshold of COVID-19 positive cases outlined by local health departments. 

Alpine School District

  • American Fork High School began a hybrid schedule on Monday, Nov. 16. 
  • Lone Peak High School began a hybrid schedule on Monday, Nov. 16.
  • Skyline High School began a hybrid schedule on Monday, Nov. 16.

Box Elder School District 

  • Box Elder High School began remote instruction on Monday, Nov. 16, and is expected to resume in-person classes on Nov. 30. 

Canyons School District 

  • Alta High School began remote instruction on Monday, Nov. 16, and is expected to resume in-person classes on Nov. 30. 
  • Brighton High School begins remote instruction on Wednesday, Nov. 18, and is expected to resume in-person classes on Dec. 2. 
  • Corner Canyon High School began remote instruction on Monday, Nov. 16, and is expected to resume in-person classes on Nov. 30. 
  • Jordan High School began remote instruction on Thursday, Nov. 12, and is expected to resume in-person classes on Nov. 30. 
  • Indian Hills Middle School began remote instruction on Thursday, Nov. 12, and is expected to resume in-person classes on Nov. 30. 

Carbon School District 

  • Castle Valley Center began remote instruction on Monday, Nov. 16, and is expected to resume in-person classes on Nov. 30. 

Davis School District

  • Clearfield High School begins remote instruction on Monday, Nov. 23, and is expected to resume in-person classes on Dec. 7. 
  • Farmington Junior High begins remote instruction on Monday, Nov. 23, and is expected to resume in-person classes on Dec. 7. 
  • Legacy Junior High begins remote instruction on Wednesday, Nov. 18, and is expected to resume in-person classes on Dec. 1. 
  • Syracuse Junior High begins remote instruction on Wednesday, Nov. 18, and is expected to resume in-person classes on Dec. 1. 
  • Shoreline Junior High began remote instruction on Monday, Nov. 16, and is expected to resume in-person classes on Nov. 30. 
  • Farmington High School began remote instruction on Monday, Nov. 16, and is expected to resume in-person classes on Nov. 30. 
  • Viewmont High School began remote instruction on Monday, Nov. 16, and is expected to resume in-person classes on Nov. 30. 
  • Bountiful High School began remote instruction on Monday, Nov. 16, and is expected to resume in-person classes on Nov. 30. 
  • Woods Cross High School began remote instruction on Monday, Nov. 16, and is expected to resume in-person classes on Nov. 30. 
  • Davis High School began remote instruction on Monday, Nov. 16, and is expected to resume in-person classes on Nov. 30.
  • Layton High School began remote instruction on Monday, Nov. 16, and is expected to resume in-person classes on Nov. 30.  

Granite School District 

  • Granger High School begins remote learning on Monday, Nov. 23, and is expected to resume in-person classes on Dec. 2. 
  • Cottonwood High School began remote learning on Monday, Nov. 16, and is expected to resume in-person classes on Nov. 30.
  • Hunter High School began remote learning on Monday, Nov. 16, and is expected to resume in-person classes on Nov. 30. 

Jordan School District 

  • Bingham High School began remote instruction on Friday,  Nov. 13, and is expected to resume in-person classes on Nov. 30. 
  • Copper Hills High School began remote instruction on Thursday, Nov. 5, and is expected to resume in-person classes on Nov. 30. 
  • Elk Ridge, Mountain Creek, Fort Herriman, Hidden Valley, Copper Mountain, Sunset Ridge, West Hills, West Jordan, and South Jordan Middle School began remote instruction on Monday, Nov. 16, and are expected to resume in-person classes on Nov. 30. 
  • Herriman High School began remote instruction on Monday, Nov. 16, and is expected to resume in-person classes on Nov. 30. 
  • West Jordan High School began remote instruction on Monday, Nov. 16, and is expected to resume in-person classes on Nov. 30. 
  • Riverton High School began remote instruction on Monday, Nov. 16, and is expected to resume in-person classes on Nov. 30. 
  • Mountain Ridge High School began remote instruction on Thursday, Nov. 12, and is expected to resume in-person classes on Nov. 30. 

Morgan School District 

  • Morgan High School begins remote instruction on Wednesday, Nov. 18, and is expected to resume in-person classes on Dec. 7. 

Nebo School District 

  • Maple Mountain High School began a hybrid schedule on Monday, Nov. 16, and is expected to resume full in-person classes on Nov. 30.
  • Salem Hills High School began a hybrid schedule on Monday, Nov. 16, and is expected to resume full in-person classes on Nov. 30.
  • Springville High School began a hybrid schedule on Monday, Nov. 16, and is expected to resume full in-person classes on Nov. 30.
  • Payson High School began a hybrid schedule on Monday, Nov. 16, and is expected to resume full in-person classes on Nov. 30.

North Summit School District 

  • North Summit High School begins remote instruction on Tuesday, Nov. 17, and is expected to resume in-person classes on Nov. 30.

Tooele School District 

  • Tooele High School began remote instruction on Tuesday, Nov. 17, and is expected to resume in-person classes on Nov. 30. 
  • Stansbury High School began remote instruction on Tuesday, Nov. 17, and is expected to resume in-person classes on Nov. 30. 

Wasatch School District 

  •  Wasatch High School began remote instruction on Monday, Nov. 16, and is expected to resume in-person classes on Dec. 1. 

Weber School District 

  • Fremont High School begins remote instruction on Thursday, Nov. 19, and is expected to resume in-person classes on Dec. 3.  
  • Orion Junior High began remote instruction on Monday, Nov. 17, and is expected to resume in-person classes on Nov. 30. 
  • Snowcrest Junior High began remote instruction on Tuesday, Nov. 10, and is expected to resume in-person classes on Nov. 23.
