SALT LAKE CITY — People who want to attend the Fan X convention in Salt Lake City from September 16-18 will need to wear a face mask.
A medical face mask, that is.
The founder and President of the convention, Dan Farr, said he’s made this decision after learning of similar decisions made by other conventions.
“With the increase in the number of COVID cases we just felt like it’s not in everybody’s best interests to not do this,” Farr said.
“We feel like it’s important that we do our best to keep everybody safe and have a good experience at the same time.”
Those going to the convention later this month will have to wear a medical face mask at all times, and expect a temperature check at the entrance.
