WVC Police looking for missing 18-year-old with autism

WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah — West Valley City Police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing 18-year-old man who has autism.
Police say they received a call from the family of Eduardo Lopez around noon on Wednesday. Police say Lopez left home Wednesday morning following a family disagreement. The family told police they were growing more concerned as the day went on.
Police say they have some concerns over his abilities but doesn’t qualify as endangered as of Wednesday evening. Police are unsure if he has a history of leaving. However, police do think he left voluntarily.
He has used the Trax and bus system daily. He was last seen wearing a maroon Adidas backpack with gray on the bottom. Police also say he might be wearing blue shorts and a black sweatshirt.
