SALT LAKE CITY — Salt Lake City Police arrested a 29-year-old man for felony kidnapping on Tuesday.
According to a release from SLCPD, the investigation began after a 911 call came in about a possible protective order violation. The caller was a community member at an apartment complex located near 400 W. 200 North.
Upon arrival, officers learned no valid protective order was in place. However, they did discover the suspect, Tony Bokomba, has an active felony kidnapping warrant.
When officers learned of the warrant, they gathered resources and created a plan to safely take Bokomba into custody. Once the suspect was located, several commands were given for him to come out.
Bokomba initially resisted arrest.
Officers booked Bokomba into the Salt Lake County Metro Jail on felony kidnapping and resisting arrest.
