CACHE COUNTY, Utah — The Cache County Sheriff’s Office is on the lookout for a man who escaped from a jail work-release program on Monday. Authorities ask that anyone with information on 21-year-old Tayson Marroquin contact the sheriff’s office or 911.
According to Cache County Lt. Doyle Peck, Marroquin never showed up to his first shift at the work-release program. His workplace notified the jail of his absence.
Marroquin was supposed to return to the jail Monday night but didn’t show up there either.
Peck said investigators believe he might be in West Valley.
Marroquin was in jail after being sentenced to 120 days for possession of a firearm by a restricted person.
Authorities as anyone with information on Marroquin or his whereabouts should contact the sheriff’s office at 435-755-1224 or call 911 and reference case #23-C477.
