Ice Castles starts wrapping up longest season ever

MIDWAY, Utah — The Ice Castles at Soldier Hollow in Midway, are closing for the season. The last day for the experience is on Saturday, Feb. 25.
According to a press release, more than 100,000 people visited the Ice Castles since its early opening date on Dec. 21.
Normally, the beloved attraction is open for an average of four to six weeks, however this year, it saw 10 weeks of visitors. Those 10 weeks deem it the longest season the Ice Castles have ever seen.
The castles are made up of hundreds of thousands of hand-placed icicles. They feature ice-carved tunnels, fountains, slides, frozen thrones, sculptures, and cascading towers of ice that light up at night according to the press release.
In case you were not among the long list of visitors, the castles will remain open for the next three days.
For those ages 12 and up, tickets cost $23, for those younger, tickets cost $16.
