NORTH OGDEN, Utah — Several large boulders fell onto North Ogden Divide road late Monday night, closing the road for several hours.
Lt. Colby Ryan with the Weber County Sheriff’s Department said the slide happened about a half mile east of North Ogden, between the middle and the top of North Ogden Divide.
To clear the road, Weber County officials used heavy equipment to push the boulders off the side and into the divide.
No injuries or damages were reported.
Lt. Ryan said that smaller rocks falling onto the road are more common now, as the snow melts and then freezes again at night. But he said the rocks that fall aren’t usually as large as those that fell Monday night.
