SALT LAKE CITY — Salt Lake City police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying those responsible for vandalizing at least 10 vehicles in the Ballpark neighborhood.

Police say the vandalism occurred in the area of 1450 S. West Temple Street. Authorities were first notified of the situation around 4:30 a.m. Tuesday when they received an online report of a damaged car.

Based on the investigation, police say those responsible used a pellet gun to shoot BBs through windows. Additionally, police also say that several of the cars had more than one window shot out.

Police say it’s likely the incident occurred overnight Monday into the early hours of Tuesday.

Police say many of the vehicle owners are still being identified. If your vehicle was damaged in the incident and you haven’t filed a police report, you are encouraged to do so.

If you have information regarding this case, you are asked to call Salt Lake City police at 801-799-3000.
